HOURS OF PICKUP AND RETURN:
9-10:30 am for a full day rental
    30 minutes estimated paperwork and demo 
back 8 hrs from depart time, close at 6:30 pm 

10 am or later for a multiday rental, back by 6 pm on final rental day

$100.- an hour late fee for 10 minutes up to 1 hour late.
Sheriff will be called after that 1 hour time period and  entire damage deposit is forfeited.

BOAT RENTAL PICKUP PROCEDURE:

All occupants  for the boat need to be present for a safety orientation and then sign a safety orientation document, or you will not be allowed on the boat.

Upon arrival, there is about 25 -30 minutes of paperwork, gathering gear and a demo of  driving and letting the named drivers drive your boat (as long as needed), in which we will explain the boat, drive it for you and let you drive and dock it. Here any concerns may be addressed.
 
If we feel you cannot handle the boat safely, we will decline your rental. Our staff has helped our guests for 18 years and we have an EXCELLENT SAFETY RECORD.
Multi day boat rentals may take longer, due to more mooring, gear and instruction.
After your demo, your time begins.


DAMAGE DEPOSIT:

All boat damages deposits will be a minimum of $1000.- credit card hold in 2021. Please be aware of this prior to arrival.
Multi day and certain boats may be more.

All rentals require a damage deposit of varied amounts, depending on the boat, length of time rented and where it will be kept.  A credit card hold is required.  
If the boat is damaged during your rental period, YOU are responsible for damages, EVEN IF IT IS above and beyond the damage deposit.
We do not know of a company that offers renters insurance.  Some credit cards do, check with your card company.

 

PAYMENT:

Payment for your entire rental period is due upon receiving the boat.....NOT AFTERWARDS.

The renter's Identification and  credit card must be in the same name, with the renter present.

If someone else in the party wants to pay for the damage deposit, be prepared for extra time for them
to also fill out the contract, which is several pages long.

GROUPSIZES, BIG GROUPS and GEAR:

Due to safety procedures, we do not load boats to full capacity of people or weight.
We are even more extremely vigilant, after a competitor loaded a boat full, and a guest drowned when it capsized.

 

We have had guests walk down with 3 huge coolers, and about 15 bags of food, bbq's (not allowed on boats)
picnic tables, and folding chairs...like they were camping for a month.  This all weighs alot, and will not be allowed on the boat,in exces.

We find, in 18 plus years in business, that when there are BIG GROUPS ALL RENTING a boat TO SHARE, that all of the constant passenger changing on a beach or dock CAUSES DINGS, PROP DAMAGE AND OTHER DAMAGE.  

Also, every occupant needs to be here to sign the safety demo pages. 
WE DO NOT WANT BIG GROUPS CHANGING OFF OR RENTING A BOAT, this is also per our insurance.  
I do know other companies will take your money and do this.  We happen to care about you all. 
YES, I get bad reviews about this, but with our good groups and repeat customers and great referrals...we are happy.
Anyone can buy a review, I do not care.

YES, I know your group is " different"...so was the Bayview family reunion that we got video of hitting another boat, then denying it, putting in a bad review, and trying to physically fight us, while they were drunk, over the charge for the dings.

DOGS:
We love dogs.
Your dogs must be on a leash, and friendly.  We have dogs here, and the restaraunt and cabins are dog friendly, so be vigilant, if you come down with one.

Only some boats allow dogs, so if you ask last minute, you might be out of luck. 
Our competitors charge for dogs.  We try not to, but the hair all over carpetting and between seats, is an issue.  We ask that you bring tarps and towels, if we approve your dog, to stay on the floor (not on upholstery)  If there is excessive hair, there may be a $30 plus cleaning fee.

ADDING EXTRA GUESTS:
Sometimes people request certain boats. We try to fit each boat according to the groupsizes we have that day. Sometimes the boat you wanted does not workout, but youw ill get a boat.

THIS NEVER FAILS:
A guest reserves a boat and shows up with more friends than initially disclosed, or they call last minute to add people.  It sometimes does not work, we prefer you stick with your guest size originally stated.

BOAT INSURANCE:
We do not offer renter boat insurance
.  Any damage to the boat is your responsibility.  This is why we take awhile to go over the driving, etc on the boat with each guest.  If I found guest insurance, I would offer it.  I know a Coeur D Alene company had it, and for the first customer damage claim, they found out the company was a sham.
